DETAILS:
Changing your oil can be a messy job, especially with the new plastic style of Ford oil drain plug, which allows the oil to release quickly and make a real big mess under your truck in a hurry.
Our Patented new all-billet aluminum plug has many user friendly features and benefits:
- You can now have full control of how much oil drains and how quickly it drains which means no more mess or risk of burning your hands/arms and spilling oil everywhere.
- You can even take a small oil sample from the drain with the simple twist of a knob.
- The secure locking interface means that the plug will never fall out and requires no modifications to the oil pan. Installation requires no additional tools and takes seconds to install.
-With no maintenance required, you will never have to replace parts or service anything, unlike the stock plug, which requires replacement each oil change, so you'll save money in the long run.
-The magnetic tip of the plug will keep a tight hold onto any stray metal particles in the engine oil and keep them away from internal bearing surfaces, perfect for any new engine.
-High performance anodized finish, aircraft grade aluminum alloy with stainless steel internals & extreme temperature o-rings means this plug will last a lifetime and take any abuse. Designed for extreme weather and trail conditions.

OIL DRAINING
When draining the oil, we recommend raising the front end of the truck about 9". (Either on ramps, jack stands or a sloped driveway). This will allow the oil in the pan to slope about 5 degrees, which is all that is needed. Anymore than that will not get more oil out. Using this method, about 1/2 cup of oil will remain which is only slightly more than completely removing the plug, which will yield only about 1/4 cup more of oil to come out. For this reason we do not believe it is necessary to remove the Easy Oil Drain Plug completely during oil changes.
WE HAVE SOLD THOUSANDS OF THESE PLUGS TO CUSTOMERS ALL OVER THE US AND ONLY A SMALL NUMBER (LESS THAN HALF A DOZEN) HAVE MADE MISTAKES, SO PLEASE READ THE PRECAUTION BELOW TO AVOID ISSUES.
**NEVER USE TOOLS TO INSTALL OR REMOVE ANY COMPONENTS OF THE NEW OIL DRAIN PLUG (EX: PLIERS, WRENCH, VICE GRIPS, CHANNEL-LOCKS ARE ALL A BIG NO-NO!) USING EXCESSIVE FORCE (TORQUE) TO INSTALL OR REMOVE THE PLUG MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PLASTIC OIL PAN. PLEASE READ ALL PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS TO AVOID DAMAGE. THE COMMON MISTAKE IS WHEN A CUSTOMER USES A PLIERS TO REMOVE THE GOLD CAP OR TO REMOVE THE BLACK VALVE BODY AND THEY UNKNOWINGLY UNTWIST THE OIL PLUG COMPLETELY WHICH CAN STRIP THE PLASTIC MATERIAL OF THE OIL PAN IF CARE IS NOT TAKEN. IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE REMOVING THE GOLD CAP AND NEED MORE LEVERAGE, USE A BACKUP PLIERS TO HOLD THE BODY OF THE VALVE (THE BLACK PART) WHILE CAREFULLY BREAKING THE GOLD CAP FREE WITH A PLIERS. THIS PREVENTS TORQUE FROM BEING TRANSMITTED INTO THE PLASTIC MATERIAL OF THE OIL PAN. IF YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE PLUG ENTIRELY, JUST MAKE SURE TO PUSH THE ENTIRE PLUG IN TOWARDS HOLE AND TWIST COUNTERCLOCKWISE. USING HAND FORCE WITHOUT TOOLS SHOULD PREVENT YOU FROM DAMAGING ANYTHING.
A 5/8" ID hose can be attached to the nipple of the drain tool if desired, but not necessary.
